The Threehalfpence was a Silver coin worth 1½d or 1/160th of a pound produced for circulation in the British colonies, mainly in Ceylon and the West Indies between 1834 and 1843 and also in 1860 and 1862. Very rare proofs were also produced in 1870.
Although not intended for circulation in the UK, they have always been considered part of the milled series. They were made of Sterling Silver, weighed 0.7 grams and had a diameter of 12 millimetres.
